Juniper Networks Leads the Next Era of Sustainable AI-Native Innovation for Wired and Wireless Access

2025-03-26

Juniper Networks, a leader in secure AI-native networking, announced today that it has expanded its award-winning wired access portfolio to help enterprises of all sizes scale IT operations, proactively reduce risk, and successfully drive strategic digital transformation initiatives.
Designed from the ground up to continue to support modern wired and wireless access needs, the new Juniper Networks EX4000 line of switches feature a groundbreaking AI-native and cloud-native architecture that delivers exceptional wired/wireless experiences on Day 0, Day 1, Day 2, and beyond, including rapid deployment, maximized uptime, zero-trust security, reduced operational costs, and seamless migration to Wi-Fi 7.

The EX4000 line of switches is available in a variety of affordable form factors, including several noise-free models, effectively expanding the reach of AI-native operations. This also enables more enterprise locations such as stores, clinics, campuses, and branch offices to experience the unique benefits of AI for Networking, which have been proven to reduce OpEx by up to 85%, reduce network troubleshooting tickets by 90%, and reduce the need for on-site troubleshooting by 85%.

Fast deployment and configuration with zero touch provisioning (ZTP) and automation
Juniper Networks uses Zero Touch Provisioning to automatically configure EX switches, rapidly deploying hundreds to thousands of switches at scale with flexible configuration templates and minimizing errors. The Mist AI mobile app further speeds installation by enabling IT to claim and name switches and assign them to sites in just minutes by scanning a QR code.

Simplify operations with Mist AI
The EX switch series supports all the AIOps capabilities inherent in the Mist AI portfolio. This includes the conversational Marvis virtual network assistant, self-driving operations, and digital experience twins corresponding to Marvis Minis to proactively identify and resolve issues. In addition, dynamic packet capture (dPCAP) can quickly identify and resolve certain wired/wireless issues, eliminating unnecessary truck rolls. Customizable service levels for automated workflows quickly identify and resolve issues.

Maximize uptime with permanent power over ethernet (PPoE) and fast boot times
The EX4000 series offers PPoE on all ports, providing uninterrupted power to Wi-Fi 7 access points, IoT devices, and other mission-critical systems. The EX4000 series switches can be booted up in a very short time, starting up in just minutes, effectively speeding up deployment across the enterprise and quickly recovering from power outages or other failures. The microservices architecture inherent in Juniper Mist Cloud also supports the rapid and frequent introduction of new features without planned service interruptions, effectively improving the flexibility and elastic configuration of wired/wireless operations.

Affordable, scalable connectivity designed for Wi-Fi 7
The EX4000 line offers 12, 24, or 48-port multigigabit connectivity options, along with 802.3bt POE++ (up to 60W) and an innovative virtual chassis design that eliminates the need for costly rewiring when customers add next-generation devices to their networks. This also makes the platform ideal for high-density environments and enables seamless migration to Wi-Fi 7. When paired with Juniper AP47 high-performance access points and Mist AI, customers can realize the full potential of Wi-Fi 7 while cost-effectively transitioning to the latest wireless technology.

Intrinsic zero trust security
Juniper Networks Mist Access Assurance works with the new EX4000 to provide “always-on” identification, authentication, and authorization for every device at every connection point, ensuring only trusted users and devices can access the network. By automating policy enforcement and access verification, Access Assurance removes the operational complexity of previous Zero Trust architectures, making it easier to implement Zero Trust architectures at scale and in more locations.

Energy-saving features help meet global sustainability goals
The EX4000 line integrates energy-saving features such as intelligent fan speed adjustment and automatic PoE deactivation when ports are idle, allowing enterprises to achieve environmental goals while optimizing network efficiency.

Accelerate outcomes with AI advanced care professional services
Juniper’s AI Advanced Care Professional Services can help EX4000 line customers accelerate design, deployment, and operations, including seamless migration from other vendors’ solutions.
Leading AI-native wired and wireless network solutions
Juniper Networks is a top vendor in the 2024 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute, and has the highest score for all five wired and wireless use cases in the Gartner Critical Capabilities for Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Infrastructure report.

With best-in-class access points and switches and a unique AI-native cloud-managed subscription service, Juniper’s wired and wireless LAN solutions offer enterprises the fastest way to deploy and the easiest way to manage personalized wired and wireless experiences.
